Lately, I got to know so many users are not able to send or receive emails using their SBCGlobal account and are unsure about where to get help. Today, in this guide, we will discuss all the factors due to which SBCGlobal email is not working and why you are not able to work with emails along with the solutions.

Why SBCGlobal is not Sending or Receiving Emails?

Before learning how to fix this error, it is important to know what is causing them in the first place. There can be several reasons for which you are not receiving any emails or aren’t able to send one, as listed below:

  • The emails are going in the wrong filter.
  • Email forwarding is on
  • Incorrect email address
  • Sender is in block list
  • You are blocked by recipient
  • Incorrect configuration on third-party email application

How to Fix “Can’t Send or Receive Emails” Error with SBCGlobal?

After knowing the reasons, here are the troubleshooting steps that you need to apply to fix the error:

  1. Incorrect Email Filter
  2. Email filters are created to filter the incoming emails and direct them towards the stipulated folder. Creating filters to keep email account organized is helpful but it can get you into uninvited trouble if you have created wrong filters i.e. the emails that are meant for a filter have been set to be received under some other filter. So while creating filters you need to be extra careful so that no such incidents happen. Also, if you are not sure how to correct the mistake, you can simply delete the filters and then check if you can receive emails.

  3. Sender is Blocked
  4. You are expecting mail from someone and have blocked the same person mistakenly. Yes, this can be one of the reasons for which you are receiving any email on your SBCGlobal account. So, go and check your block list and make sure you haven’t blocked someone you shouldn’t.

  5. Recipient has Blocked You
  6. If you are sending a mail to someone and the other person hasn’t received it even after several attempts, ask him to ensure that your SBCGlobal email address isn’t there in his block list.

  7. Email Forwarding is On
  8. The purpose to enable email forwarding is to receive your SBCGlobal emails on some other email account for any reason. So if you have enabled email forwarding for your SBCGlobal account and have forgotten about it, it is the time to log in to your SBCGlobal email account and turn off the email forwarding.

  9. Entering the Wrong Email Address
  10. If you are sending a mail to someone and they haven’t received it, make sure you are entering the correct email address. Also, if you are expecting an email from someone, tell them to enter your correct email address and then check if the error has been rectified.

  11. Incorrect Email Configuration
  12. If you have been using SBCGlobal email on any third-party email client like Outlook, configuring the account incorrectly can get you in this trouble and you will be left wondering why you are not able to send or receive emails. SBCGlobal will not work with Outlook if the sbcglobal.net email settings are incorrect.

  13. Server is Down
  14. If you still cannot send and receive SBCGlobal emails, verify that if the server is down. The problem can also appear when the SBCGlobal is down and you will face errors while sending emails. This may also stop you from receiving any email. For this matter, you can wait till the SBCGlobal email support team restores the services, and the server starts working again.

  15. Wrong Server Address
  16. Email services keep on changing their server addresses even without informing their users. You will not be able to send or receive emails in your SBCGlobal email account if the server address was changed and you are still entering the old address. For this, you can contact your network administrator and get the new address to log in to your SBCGlobal account.
