Easy-Peasy Methods in Case Your Iphone Can’t Send Texts To Android

There can be instances and times when you are unable to connect to Wi-Fi or Internet Services- cellular Data, at that time SMS options are your only savior. Recently, a lot of iPhone users have been facing messaging issues, like- ‘iPhone not sending texts to android’, ‘iPhone can’t text android’ or ‘iPhone not sending group texts’.  

If you are also facing the above-mentioned issues or similar, or if you are also experiencing difficulty in sending text messages from iPhone to Android devices, fortunately, you have fallen into the right trap at the right time! 

Let’s get started to take you out of this frustrating trap of not being able to send messages, enabling you to send messages from iOS to Android!

Speedy Solutions if your iPhone is not sending texts to Android

Fix 1: Restart your iPhone

Start with a mini step of turning your iPhone off and on, just long-press on the power button at the side and slide the screen left to right. Just reboot and resend the messages again.

Fix 2: Turn off/On your iMessage

For this, just go to Settings>>messages>>turn off iMessage>>turn on iMessage

Intermediate Methods

In case you are still not able to send messages from iPhone to Android, just follow some intermediate solutions listed below:

Fix 1: Enable SMS in iPhone and check mobile plan

Do you know?-iMessages use Internet services, whereas, SMS users cellular network services.

To send short messages through SMS, you need to enable the messaging services to send them to Android users, and users with basic phones. 

Moreover, you should check if your prepaid mobile plan is allowing you to send SMS messages.

Fix 2: Send as SMS

You can identify whether you are sending iMessage or SMS/MMS(iPhone to Android) by the color differentiation. As iMessages are in blue bubbles and SMS messages are in green. But, in order for your Apple device to send text messages to Android, you’ll need to enable the ‘Send as SMS option’. For that, 

  • Step 1: Go to Settings.
  • Step 2: Tap on Messages.
  • Step 3: Slide on to Send as SMS.

Fix 3: Check the iMessage system status

To work with this fix, just directly go to your Apple Service System Status page and check the working status of iMessage services. 

Fix 4: Check device settings

For this fix, follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Make sure that your device is connected to the cellular or Wi-Fi.
  • Step 2: Go to Settings and click on Messages

  • Step 3: From Messages, turn on your iMessage services, as the following page appears.

Fix 5: Check if the recipient’s number is blocked or invalid

There can be times when you have entered an invalid number of the people you are trying to send the messages to. 

Check if the number is correct and also if the number is blocked. To check if the number is blocked:

  • Step 1: Open Settings and go to Messages
  • Step 2: Check if the number has been blocked, if so unblock it and send the messages again on the unblocked numbers.

Fix 6: Update iPhone software

It might be possible that there is a software issue on your iPhone device that is continuously causing troubles while sending messages to Android devices. If that is the case, just go through the following steps to update your software with the latest version: 

  • Step 1: Go to Settings and click on General
  • Step 2: Under general settings, click on software update:
  • Step 3: If any upgraded versions of the software are available under the software update section, just click on download and install

Fix 7: Reset Network Settings

You might have changed some network settings in your iPhone unintentionally or due to certain circumstances, to disable these changes and enable messaging services, follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Open Settings in your iPhone
  • Step 2: Go to General Settings and click on the reset tab. As you click on reset, your phone will restart to reset efficiently.

Fix 8: Check your SIM card and your mobile plan

Just remove your SIM card and insert it again. Also, keep a track of your mobile plan services that enable you to send messages. As in many countries over the world, probably in prepaid plans, messaging services are not free.

Just talk to your network servicing carriers by calling them or mailing them directly, regarding all the required messaging queries.
