How to Download Facebook Videos?

Method-1 On Desktop

  1. Log in to your Facebook account or go to and the news feed will open if you are already logged in. go to the video you want to download or if you don’t have the link for it, go to the ‘Facebook Watch’ section.

  1. Next, click on the three-dots menu icon in the top-right of the video and from the menu that appears, click on the option ‘Copy Link’ to copy the Facebook video’s link on the clipboard.

  2. This is the most commonly used website to download videos from Facebook. What you need to do is just visit the website and paste the link that you copied in the previous step, click on ‘Download’.

    Method-2 On Android

    If you use your phone more than your desktop, you can download the videos on it as well. To Download Facebook Videos on Android, the steps will be slightly different. 

    1. First you need to download ES File Explorer app from the Google Play Store.
    2. Next, open Facebook on your phone; you must be logged into your account.
    3. Look for the video you want to download or you can even visit the person’s profile who posted the video to find it there.
    4. Open the video to play it so that you can avoid downloading broken link.
    5. Click on ‘Share’ and this will give you an option to ‘Copy Link’ of the video.
    6. Next, open a browser on your phone and go to .
    7. Paste the link of the video in the appropriate text field and click on ‘Download’.
    8. The video will download on your Android phone and to view the video you can simply open the ES File Explorer and check the Internal Storage
      folder or SD card depending on where your videos get stored. You can also check your phone’s gallery for the saved Facebook videos.

    Method 3- On iPhone

    I know there are iPhone users as well who also want to download Facebook videos on iPhone. Here you go:

    1. Go to the App store of your iPhone and download the ‘Documents by Readdle’ app on your device.
    2. Now, go to your Facebook account and open the video you want to download.
    3. You can look for the video in the News Feed or directly go to the person’s profile who shared it.
    4. Tap the video to play it to ensure that you are going to download broken link and regret the efforts later.
    5. Tap on the ‘Share’ option that is available directly below the video.
    6. From the menu that appears, select ‘Copy Link’ this will copy the video’s address to your clipboard.
    7. Now open the Documents app on your phone, and tap the ‘Safari’ icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

    Steps to Download Someone Else’s Facebook Live

    1. The first step is to log in to your Facebook account and go to Facebook Watch section, there click on the ‘Live’ option given in the left column. All the current Facebook lives will appear.

    3. Clicking on the download option will let you save your Facebook live video to your computer.

    How to Download A Facebook Video Share on A Private Group?

    The tool suggested above may not work in case you have to download video shared on a private Facebook group. For those times, you can use GetFVid, a Facebook private video downloader.

    • Copy and paste the page source in the space provided (as shown in the image above) and click on ‘Download’.
