Fixes to Roadrunner Email Login Issue

Fix-1: Reset Roadrunner Email Password

The login issue is one of the most common roadrunner email problems of 2020. If you are not able to log into your Roadrunner email account, the reason is you don’t remember the correct password. Before you proceed to reset the password, first re-check if you are entering the password rightly. 

If you are sure of using the right password but still are not able to access it, here are the steps to follow to reset the password of your Spectrum Roadrunner email account:

  1. Navigate to the official Spectrum Sign-in page.
  2. Then click on the option ‘Forgot Email Password’.
  3. Enter your Cable Modem ID and then click on ‘Submit’.
  4. From the drop-down menu, select the security question and then enter the answer for it.
  5. Once you are done answering the security question, click on ‘Reset Password’
  6. Now, it will generate an 8-digit password that you can use to login to your roadrunner account and change it later. 

While setting a new password for your Roadrunner account, keep in mind that:

  1. The password you create must not be easy to guess.
  2. You can use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters.
  3. You can even include special characters to make your password stronger.
  4. Never keep your details like your phone number or date of birth as your password.

Fix-2: Configure Roadrunner Email Account on Android or iPhone

If your Roadrunner email account is not working on a web browser and you are not able to log in, you can set up your account on your mobile device to temporarily fix the issue.

On Android

Here’s how you can configure your Roadrunner email account on an Android device:

  1. Open the email app on your Android device and type in your Roadrunner email address or username and tap ‘Next’.
  2. Choose ‘POP3’ and tap ‘Next’; enter the Password and then tap ‘Next’ again.
  3. For the Incoming Mail Server settings, you will need to enter the following details:

Username: your email address

Password: RR email password

Server: pop-server.maine.rr.com

Port: 110 

Security type: None

  1. Click ‘Next’ and enter the given information for Outgoing Mail Server setting:  

Server: smtp-server.maine.rr.com.

Port: 587 or 25

Security type: None

Require sign-in: Check

Username: [email protected] (based on location)

Password: Use your Roadrunner email password

  1. Press ‘Ok’ and then go to the other settings section.
  2. Select the time for which you want your messages to stay on the phone till the time you delete it.
  3. Tap ‘Ok’ and then press ‘Ok’ again to complete the setup.

On iPhone

Here’s how you can configure your Roadrunner email account on an iPhone device using the spectrum email settings:

  1. Open the ‘Settings’ section of your device 
  2. Select ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’ and then tap Add Account
  3. Tap ‘Other’ and then select ‘Add Mail Account’ and then enter the asked details:

Enter a name

Address: [email protected]

Password: your password 

Description: Name that displays in your Account list on the iPhone

  1. Tap ‘Next’ and then enter the given details for the Incoming mail server:

Incoming Mail Server Host: pop-server.ec.rr.com

User Name: [email protected] 

Password: Your password

Port: 110 

Secure Server: off.

  1. Enter the given details for the Outgoing mail server:

Outgoing Mail Server Host: mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com

User Name: [email protected] (You must enter your complete Email address)

Password: Your password

Port: 587

Secure Server: off

  1. Finally, click ‘Save’ to confirm the changes in Incoming and Outgoing Server Settings and this will complete the setup.
