Verizon was an email service that was managed by Verizon Communications. It had all the required features that you get with a free email service. The email service was easily accessible using the webmail platform as well as the client-based email software.
“In the last count, it had around 4.5 million users, with around 2.5 million active users.”
Everything was going well until in 2017, Verizon announced its closure that it is taking its email services down to shift its focus on other services such as television, internet, and IPTV. Those with Verizon.net email addresses were asked to keep their Verizon email addresses alive by shifting to AOL or Yahoo mail but now it is no longer possible.
After Verizon announced that it is taking down its services in 2017, it gave some time to its users to shift their www.verizon.net email addresses to AOL or Yahoo within the deadline. Also, when it announced the acquisition of AOL, it took down its email segment, and now those who want to sign up for a new Verizon mail account can sign up at mail.aol.com or yahoo.com.
As you know that you can no longer create a new Verizon email account but if you have migrated your account to AOL mail or Yahoo can still access their old email accounts by visiting the AOL Login page or Verizon Yahoo Mail page.
Verizon email login just involves these two steps mentioned above, you just have to make sure you are entering the right details. Be careful with the password if it is case-sensitive and Caps Lock must be off if not in use.

Even if Verizon email is managed by AOL, you can still access it through a third-party email client such as Outlook or on your Android and iPhone devices by just entering the correct Verizon email settings.
After you have migrated your Verizon.net email to AOL mail or Yahoo, here are the settings using which you can set up your Verizon account on third-party email client:
Protocol | Server Settings | Port Settings |
POP 3 | Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net Outgoing mail server (SMTP):smtp.verizon.net | POP3-995-SSL SMTP-465-SSL |
IMAP | Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.aol.com Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net | IMAP-993-SSL SMTP-465-SSL |
While entering the account info, use your full email address, including @verizon.net, and also ensure that SSL encryption is enabled for incoming and outgoing mail.
Just like any other email client, Verizon is also not free from login issues, one of the most common Verizon email problems. As you know the old Webmail.verizon.com and Verizon.Net email webpages are no longer active, you must visit aol.mail.com or verizon.yahoo.com.
The next important thing to consider is you must enter your full and correct @verizon.net email address.
To sign in to your Verizon Wireless account or MyVerizon FIOS account, go to Verizon Wireless or MyVerizon.
