One of the new features provided by Microsoft for Windows 10 is that you can now contact the Microsoft Tech Support Team using the Contact Support App in Windows 10. This app will help in solving problems regarding Windows, Internet Explorer, Edge, One Drive, Office, Xbox, Bing, Microsoft Account, etc. Using the Contact Support App, you can chat online or schedule a call.

To access the app, type ‘Support’ into the search box of the start menu and click on the result. The Microsoft Support App will launch, follow the instructions and you will be connected to the Microsoft Help Desk. Make sure you are signed in to your Microsoft Account or else sign in. After you are done signing in, you will be asked about the issues you need help with. You will see the options like Accounts, Billing, Services, and apps, and clicking on these will show you some more options.

Select the option for which you need support and click on it. If you select ‘Windows’ from ‘Services’, you will see these three options:

  • Setting up (Installation, settings and activation)
  • Technical support (Errors and other performance related problems)
  • Protecting my PC (Removing viruses, malware, etc)

After selecting your option, you will be presented with four contact options – Ask the community, Chat online, Call me or Schedule a call.

You can select how you want to contact Microsoft. You can click on the ‘Chat online with a Microsoft Answer Tech’ option to begin the chat or choose any of the other options. If you are asked for any additional information, fill it. Once you have entered the required information, you will be able to ask queries related to Windows 10. With the Microsoft Contact Support app, you can expect a quick reply from the tech support team.

Another tool to get help with issues related to Windows 10, you can use the tool Quick Assist in Windows 10.
