I have even come across several websites, apps, and pop-ups that claim to tell you who visited your profile but do they work?

Facebook has been in and out of controversies many times mainly due to the privacy concern of users. The social media giant has also been accused of sharing personal data with third-parties.
And now, it is another controversial feature that is gaining attention from all over the world and that is- the ability to check who has visited your profile.
Facebook is known to be against sharing this information with users; however, lately, users have been claiming that they can check out who visited their profile on their iOS device. You need to check on your own if you can do that on your iPhone model.

Earlier, this option was available for iOS users but as we no more get this option, that means the feature has been taken down by Facebook.
Facebook has always maintained its stand on its official policy about not allowing users to view who visits or views their profile. As per the officials, “Facebook’s API does not grant developers access to such data, nor do they offer a feature or report for this natively on their website or mobile app,”.
Neither there is an in-built tool to check this nor any other safe or confirmed way to check the visitors of your profile.
Should we believe on Facebook or the apps that we encounter every day claiming to let you view the visitors?
Here is what you need to know:
“There is no official way provided by Facebook to know who checks or views your FB profile. Third-party apps claiming to tell you who viewed your Facebook profile are not trustworthy. It is recommended to never download such apps if you care about your security and privacy. If they ask for your passwords or other sensitive details, they will sell your data to another third-party.”
Permitting to view your data also gives access to your friends’ data, famously known as data harvesting. Moreover, this can get your Facebook account hacked and you should always report such illegal apps.

Another popular hack that is making it to the top to check your Facebook profile visitors is viewing page source code and then searching for “InitialChatFriendsList.” This will show you the profile numbers but there is no one to verify that the profile numbers actually represent the people who visit your profile every day. These numbers can be the people you often chat with or you may find the list similar to the conversations list on your profile’s right sidebar.
So before you share your details with someone in the hope of tracking the visitors to your profile, remember that you are putting yourself into trouble; instead, you must always report such scam services and apps.
In simple words, “If Facebook ever wanted you to get this feature, they will introduce it similar to the one you get with LinkedIn premium subscription.”
So the answer to your question “Can I see who viewed my Facebook” is NO!
Facebook hasn’t introduced any feature using which you can know who viewed your Facebook profile and the main concern is privacy.
Will you visit someone’s profile, go through their pictures, or stalk them after knowing that they can get to know about it?

If you run a Facebook page or pages, you can check who views them or visits them; that you can’t do in the case of your Facebook profile. To do that, go to your Facebook page, and on the left, you will find several options, click on ‘Insights’
The ‘Insights’ section shows a lot of useful information about your Facebook pages such as:
the Facebook Insights will not tell you the names of who views your Facebook but still, you can get a great idea about how many visitors you are getting on your page.
So, it is clear that you cannot view who visits your Facebook profile but you can definitely get useful information about your FB profile and page. The apps or websites that claim you can check who views your Facebook are completely fake and not trustworthy.
