  • Go to the person’s profile using the search bar.
  • Next, click on the ‘three dots’ icon given at the bottom right of the person’s cover photo.
  • Click on the option ‘Give feedback or report this profile’.
  • Then mention the reason for reporting that person. For whatever reason you have selected, you may be required to give further details.
  • Once you are done, click ‘Send’.

How to Report A Post on Facebook?

It may also happen that a particular post is disturbing you, then you can report that particular post instead of reporting that person. This can also be treated as proof that someone was violating Facebook’s guidelines. Here are the steps that you need to apply:

  • Go to the post and click on the three-dots given in the top-right corner of the post.
  • Click on the option ‘Give feedback on this post’.
  • Give the reason for reporting the post and enter the related details as well and click on ‘Send’.

Now, if you find an offensive comment given on Facebook, you can report it as well. 

  • If the comment is on someone else’s profile or post:
  1. Go to the comment you want to report and click on the three dots given next to it.
  2. Click on the option ‘Give feedback on this post’.

  • If the comment you want to report, is on your profile or post:
  1. Go to the comment and click on the three dots icon given next to it.
  2. You can only delete comments as you cannot report comments made on your own profile or post. You can remove it by clicking on ‘Delete’ or if you want you can Report Facebook account of the person.
  3. You can also block the person who is making unwanted comments on your post.

How to Report A Fake Facebook Page?

You may also encounter some pages that have been created only to spread nuisance. If you find any of such FB page promoting negativity or pornography, you can report it to Facebook as follows:

  • Go to the Facebook page that you want to report. Search for it in the search bar or if you are a part of it, you can explore it under ‘Explore’.
  • Click on the three dots icon that says ‘More’.
  • Click on the option ‘Report Group’.
  • Select the reason to report that page and click on ‘Send’.

In the same way, you can also report a group on Facebook that you found offensive.

How to Report A Photo on Facebook?

Just how you have reported misleading profiles, offensive comments and pages, you can also report a photo that is not as per Facebook’s guidelines.

  1. Open the photo you want to report.
  2. Scroll down and click on ‘Options’.
  3. Click on the option ‘Give feedback or report photo’.
  4. Select the reason for reporting the photo including the details and click on ‘Send’.

  1. First, go to the “Report an Imposter Account” website. Using this link you can report a fake Facebook account even when you don’t own a Facebook account. This feature is helpful when you want to report about someone who is representing you on Facebook, but you don’t have a Facebook account.
  2. In the ‘What Issue Are You Experiencing’ drop-down menu, you can select why you are reporting a profile. The best-suited option for you will be “This Person Is Pretending to Be Me or a Friend.” If you have any other problem you can select from other available options. 
  3. Enter the required information and answers to the questions you are asked and click ‘Send’.
