Reinstall Instagram

Reset Resharing Toggle

  • Open the Instagram app and tap on your profile.

  • Go to Instagram and tap on your profile.

  • Now, tap on the three-line menu in the top right corner of the screen.

  • Under the Account Privacy option, disable the option for Private Account and tap to Switch to Public.

Use a Different Phone

  • Open Instagram.

How to Share a Story Without the “Add Post to Story” Button?

  • Open Instagram, then go to the post that you want to share and tap on the three vertical dots on the right side of the post.

Paste the link of the post here and download it.

The post will now be available on your device and available to post on your story. However, you should keep in mind that content from a private account cannot be downloaded.
