Since Instagram doesn’t always respond to the issues publicly, we are here to provide useful methods. In this article, we will discuss the probable reasons for the issue and how we can solve it. Let’s find out.

Why isn’t Instagram Refreshing Feed?

Imagine wanting to see the latest Met Gala looks of different celebrities but not getting to see any because Instagram won’t refresh! That must suck, right?

But what could possibly be the issues with this? Let’s discuss the why’s and then move to the how part 😉

  • Bad or poor internet connection: One of the most basic and common reasons is a slow internet connection. If the internet isn’t fast enough to load the posts which include images, reels, and videos, then Instagram is highly likely to not refresh the feed.
  • Instagram is down: Even though it is rare for Instagram to be down, it isn’t impossible. There is a chance that if the posts aren’t loading after trying many times, then Instagram is down.
  • Wrong time and date: It may sound strange, but if the right time and date haven’t been set on your device, then Instagram won’t function properly. It is because Instagram won’t be able to encounter conflicting values which can become problematic for smooth working.
  • Instagram isn’t updated: Most of us feel lazy when it comes to updating apps and software and tend to skip the new versions available. However, this can lead to lagging in the applications and devices. Unable to refresh the app can be a result of it if you haven’t updated Instagram.
  • Your account was blocked: Users often share their opinions through posts, comments, etc. on Instagram. However, the use of any abusive words or wrong language violates the community guidelines of Instagram and can get your account disabled by Instagram.
  • You’ve used a third-party app: Instagram tries to reduce the number of bots and automation as much as they can on the platform. So when it comes to using third-party apps or automation tools, Instagram is very strict. If you are liking other posts using third-party apps, then Instagram can block you from viewing your feed temporarily.
