Nothing Phone 2a launch soon

The ‘Nothing to See’ event is all set for February 27 on which the Nothing 2a smartphone launch is predicted. Recently, the Nothing Phone 2 was released in July 2023, and it looks like the next device from Nothing is already here. But this time it is going to be a mid-range device rather than a flagship.

MySmartPrice spotted an unknown Nothing device (probably Nothing Phone 2a) on the TUV certification website with model number A142. It means that the device is going through the final few checks before its launch.

People unfamiliar with TUV should know that it stands for Technischer Überwachungsverein in German or Technical Inspection Association. It is an internationally recognized standard for certifying electronics safety for launch.

This filing on the TUV website does not tell us much about the device but it reveals the charging speeds. Based on this filing, we can say that Nothing Phone 2a will have 45W fast charging support. It’s the same charging speed as we got in Nothing Phone 2.

We are excited about the launch of the smartphone as Carl Pei, Founder and CEO of Nothing, teased a new device in a tweet.

Nothing Phone 2a Specs (Rumored)

As of yet, the company has not revealed anything but that wouldn’t stop us from speculating. Here are the rumored specs of the Nothing Phone 2a.

It is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is likely to be powered by the mid-range chip, MediaTek Dimensity 7200. It is supposed to be released in two variants, offering an 8GB + 128GB storage option and a 12GB + 256GB storage option.

Nothing Phone 2a will also feature a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KGN9 primary camera and a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens. And a 16MP selfie camera as well.

The phone is likely to come with Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 out of the box. The battery capacity of the device is going to be 4290mAh. And it is expected to be available in Black and White colors, just like flagship models.
