To use this circle-to-search feature, users need to long-press the home button or navigation bar to open Google search and then circle anything on the phone, Google will image search the content you highlighted.

The January feature drop also brings Magic Compose, a feature Google has been developing for a long time. Now, all Google Pixel owners worldwide can use it in Google messages. However, for the time being, it will only support English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Korean languages.

Now, the in-built temperature sensor in the Pixel 8 device will be more useful than ever. With this, you can now take your own or someone else’s body temperature. Google is dubbing it a medial grade feature and the company obtained FDA clearance to use this thermometer this way.

In this feature drop, they are also changing the branding of Nearby Share to Quick Share, shared by Google and Samsung. The functionality of the feature remains the same.

Google also says automatic audio switching is coming to the pixel watch. Google wrote “You can switch your Pixel Buds Pro from your Pixel Watch to any number of Pixel phones or Pixel Tablet and get helpful notifications about where your audio is switching to,” in a blog post.

And lastly, they are also bringing Photomoji to the Messages app.
