Creating an Instagram Account Using Mobile Phone

If you want to set up an Instagram account on your mobile, here’s how to do it:

1. For both Android and iPhone users, go to their respective Play Store and download the Instagram app on your device.

2. Once the app is installed, launch it and tap the option ‘Create New Account’.

3. Now, you will get two options to choose from- one is to use your ‘Phone Number’ and the other is to use your ‘Email Address’ to sign up for an Instagram account. Once you have entered the required information, tap ‘Next’.

4. For Email Address:

• You will be asked to enter the confirmation code sent to your email address; press ‘Next’.
• After that, fill out your profile info and tap ‘Next’ when prompted.

5. For Phone Number:

Here I have demonstrated how to create an Instagram account using your mobile number.

• You have to enter your full name and tap one out of the two options- ‘Continue and Sync Contacts’ or ‘Continue without Syncing’.

• Next, add your date of birth and press ‘Next’.

• Your Instagram profile is ready, you can change your username if you want or tap ‘Next’.

• Now, you have to create a password for your Instagram account and tap ‘Next’.

• If you want you can even connect to your Facebook friends on Instagram or else ‘Skip’ it for now.

• You can even add a profile photo if you want or else ‘Skip’ it.

Note- If you don’t want to create a separate Instagram account, you can directly ‘Log In With Facebook’.

Creating an Instagram Account on Desktop

To create an Instagram account on PC, here are the steps:

1. Go to instagram.com on a browser and tap ‘Sign Up’.

2. On the next page, you will be required to enter:

Mobile Number or Email

Full Name

Username

Password

And then tap ‘Sign Up’.

(For demonstration, I have shown here how to create an Instagram account without using phone number i.e. with email address.)

3. Next, you have to add your birthday and then tap ‘Next’.

4. Next, you have to enter the verification code that you have received on your email address or phone number.
