Posted on April 18, 2022 | By Sophia Abraham

    Movies-for-Kids

Movies are a great medium to teach your kids important and valuable life lessons while also ensuring complicated topics remain entertaining and digestible. Netflix seems to have absorbed those ideas well as it continues to produce movies, one after the other, that are incredible choices for kids. From The Adam Project to Annie and Enola Holmes, there are countless options available for kids to watch on Netflix.

The streaming service is available in most countries worldwide, however, every country has its own library of content. Therefore, the distribution of kids’ movies is not the same everywhere. You can change your Netflix country for unlimited content – by using a VPN. The process is pretty easy, you only need to use the VPN and connect it to a local server and gain access to movies globally.

But which movie should you watch? Well, here are the 30 best movies for kids on Netflix.

    The Adam Project

The undeniably funny duo of Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy is back with yet another big-budgeted Netflix original – The Adam Project. In this movie, you can watch Reynolds time traveling his way in the past and find the child version of himself. He teams up with great actors like Zoe Saldana, Mark Ruffalo, and Catherine Keener to give children a gala time at the movies. This movie is a treat for anybody who wants to save the world but makes it fun.

    Annie

If you want to watch a movie that teaches you the value of optimism and the fruits it bears, you should watch this 1982 remake. Annie is about an orphan who sings tunes about her future all in the hopes of having a grand and meaningful life. This movie has Albert Finney and Carol Burnett in the supporting roles and the film is directed by John Huston.

    Apollo 10 ½

If you are hoping to watch a slice of life movie but in animated style, you should watch Apollo 10 ½. The movie is narrated by Jack Black and has an incredible and emotionally charged storyline. This coming-of-age film has its story based on the famous Apollo 11 landing. A great choice for kids who aren’t yet aware of the event – informative as well as entertainment.

    A Cinderella Story

There are thousands of movies available on Netflix for kids under 10. However, when it comes to preteens, the options are pretty limited. But not to worry, if you want something from that category, it’s best to go for A Cinderella Story. This PG romcom movie has actors like Hilary Duff, Chad Michael Murry, and Regina King in the cast. You will get to see how two pent pals end up falling for each other and give us the cutest love story ever.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

If you want to watch both movies and TV series on a streaming platform, Netflix is the one to vouch for. Adapted from a fan-favorite book with the same title, this movie is hilarious, witty, and extremely warm and comfortable. A perfect way to spend your Sunday afternoons.

    Enola Holmes

Another series made for preteens – Enola Holmes is a story of Sherlock Holmes’s sister. She is played by Millie Bobby Brown, an actress adored by the kids. She will have mysteries of her own to solve in this movie and you will witness how the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and how the mystery-solving genes are permanent in this family.

    Hook

Steven Spielberg has given many gems to the world and this one is one of them. A re-imagination of a character that kids adore, this movie is also somewhat controversial as it shows Peter Pan in an unusual way. But the thing is, you can still show this movie to the kids. You will either love this movie or end up hating it. There’s literally no in-between.

    How to Train Your Dragon

Also considered to be one of the best animated movies ever, this movie is about a boy called Hiccup who has a pet dragon named Toothless. The series is full of adventurers and has a thrilling storyline that keeps you hooked till the last second. Spectacular visuals and impressive animations are witnessed in this incredible franchise. You will be elated to know that the series is actually based on a book by Cressida Cowell.

How to Train Your Dragon 2

The second installment of the same franchise is also available on Netflix. This franchise is truly a work of art. You can’t let go of the undeniable power of this masterpiece. Unlike other sequels, this one is almost as good as the first one. You will see the protagonist reunite with his mother. It’s a story about family, nostalgia, legacy, and of course, love.
