Meta ready to launch its augmented reality glasses

Meta is ready to launch its next project into the adventure of augmented reality glasses. It might not be cheap. The project of Mark Zuckerberg’s company Meta, believes that new glasses are now being prepared under the codename of ‘Hypernova,’ and the cost is around $1,000 just because it has embedded a small heads-up display into one lens. However, the biggest challenge that Meta would have to deal with is ensuring that the software does not badly annoy users to the point that they would want to throw these costly glasses away.

According to the report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, citing insiders, the debut Hypernova AR glasses are set to be launched before year-end. The first version will include a miniature monocular display embedded in the right lens that will let the user receive phone notifications, show photos, or even navigate using applications such as Google Maps. Consumers will have to spend at least $ 1,000 models will run to $1,300 or $ 1,400 on the glasses for these goodies.

Meta may present these glasses during the annual Meta Connect conference later this year. This new version is also supposed to come with a new sensor that can produce better quality images compared to the 12-megapixel camera in the current Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. The Hypernova will follow in design with Meta’s previous creations. It starts at $300 and goes up to around $380 for the tested versions.

They utilize physical buttons to operate the built-in camera for photos and videos. One of their best features is that they have speakers integrated and can be controlled by sliding a finger along a capacitive sensor on the right earpiece. Gurman pointed out that the Hypernova glasses would possibly feature similar physical controls to that of RAB. The Ray-Ban Meta glasses are for snapshooting one’s pets and enjoying music on the go without the hassle of carrying headphones.
