Also, know about their Underworld movies in order to enhance your knowledge of their career.

Scott Speedman (Michael Corvin)

Michael Corvin, a medical student, would become a hybrid of the two warring animals at the center of the novel courtesy of a bit that Selene and a Lycan named Lucian shared with him. This would lead to Selene finding a love interest in Corvin.

Following his appearances in two Underworld movies, Scott Speedman played a monster of a different kind in the 2009 home invasion thriller The Strangers. He later played a minor role in the A24 creature feature, The Monster, which featured an even more mysterious but dangerous creature.

The British actor, a former Felicity star, recently made his television comeback in a recurring part on TNT’s Animals Kingdom series adaptation. He will also make a rare appearance in the comedy Best Sellers, currently in post-production, opposite Michael Caine and Aubrey Plaza.

Kate Beckinsale (Selene)

Kate Beckinsale became one of Hollywood’s most sought-after action stars after becoming well-known for her roles in Pearl Harbor and Serendipity, to mention a few. However, she made sure to never restrict herself to just one genre by starring Selene, the icon of the Underworld franchise.

Between three more appearances as the vampire warrior, the British beauty would win the hearts of Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing, the eccentric Howard Hughes in The Aviator, a spouse fixated on an enchanted remote in Click, a cruel hotel receptionist in Vacancy, and even more werewolves and vampires.

In two versions of the online role-playing game The Elder Scrolls, Beckinsale also provided the voice of Queen Ayrenn. She will return to comedy in director Charlie Day’s El Tonto and action in Jolt.

Bill Nighy (Viktor)

Bill Nighy’s appearances are always exciting, but his performance as the evil vampire Elder Viktor – a role he would later reprise twice – convinced fans of their affection for him as a villain, further demonstrated by his portrayal of Davy Jones in two Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The 70-year-old Golden Globe-winning actor’s debut in a memorable death scene came in Underworld. He played several other amazing death scenes in Shaun of the Dead and unique fantasy roles like Minister Rufus Scrimgeour in Harry Potter, the target of certain secret agent gerbils in G-Force, and a time-traveling father for Richard Curtis in About Time. In 2017, Richard Curtis also directed him in a reprise of his Love, Actually character for Red No.

While Bill Nighy made a comeback in the vampire genre with the Netflix original animated series Castlevania, he is now concentrating more on family-friendly entertainment for his forthcoming projects, which include a new Heidi adaptation.

Michael Sheen (Lucian)

Michael Sheen had the benefit of portraying both an enemy and a protagonist as Lucian, the founder of the Lycan race, especially in the 2009 prequel Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. He also got the opportunity to experience life as a bloodsucker in the Twilight movies as Aro.

The 51-year-old British actor has portrayed a wide range of fictional and real-life characters on screen, on stage, or on television, including Prime Minister Tony Blair in three different films, two of which earned him nominations for awards, and an angel with a demon as his closest buddy in a limited series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens.

More recently, Sheen played the serial killer father of a criminal psychologist on the Fox drama Prodigal Son. He is also getting ready to star in the existential comedy The Price of Admission with Jeff Goldblum and voice a character in an animated version of Heart of Darkness.

Kevin Grevioux (Raze)

Kevin Grevioux created Underworld and worked with director Len Wiseman and writers Danny McBride to make the first three films. Grevioux was Raze. Raze is Lucian’s lieutenant.

After years in Hollywood, where he had minor roles in blockbusters like Batman Forever and The Mask and did stunts, he got his first writing credit. Later, he launched his comic book brand, wrote for Marvel and DC, and voiced characters in animation productions. Grevioux still acts and directs. He filmed The Prey with Danny Trejo.

Theo James (David)

Theo James, an English actor, made his franchise debut as the pure-blood vampire David in Underworld: Awakening before being elevated to the male protagonist in Blood Wars in 2016. However, he gained further notoriety in 2014 as Tobias “Four” Eaton alongside Shailene Woodley in the Divergent series, serving as the female lead’s second-in-command.

Even with that success, it appears James has missed his first major franchise since the final installment, given how many of his subsequent projects have included fellow Underworld alumni, including voicing a role in Castlevania with Bill Nighy, costarring in a 2018 musical audio drama adaptation of H.G.

Wells’ The War of the Worlds with Michael Sheen portrays a widowed engineer who is desperate to create the ideal AI in Archive, for which he and Rhona Mitra received a Golden Globe nomination.

Rhona Mitra (Sonja)

Rhona Mitra has a reverse-Kate Beckinsale career. Rhona Mitra starred in various thriller and action films before playing Sonja in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. The role led to many actions and fantasy tv possibilities, two of which involved vampires.

She played a modern bloodsucker in The Strain and The Gates. The British actress has also joined the voice cast of Squadron 42 and will appear in Skylin3s.

Conclusion

Although they have all gone their separate ways since the show ended, the cast of The Underworld has stayed close. They are a tight-knit group and support each other through everything. They will always be there for one another, no matter what.
