YouTube Create App

YouTube Create is the new video editing app specifically designed for Shorts creation. Until now, it was available in select countries but now the company is gradually releasing it in more regions.

On February 28, 2024, YouTube announced that they are expanding access to its video editing app Create to users in countries like Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Hongkong, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, and Turkey. Users in all these countries can now download the app from the Play Store.

YouTube Create was originally announced in September last year, it is a free video editing tool that provides access to a range of functions that make it easier to create more complex video clips.

Some of the key features of YouTube Create include audio cleanup, auto-captions, filters, effects, transitions, and access to royalty-free songs. Once you are done with the clip, you can directly publish on YouTube including Shorts and long-form content.

Basically, it is inspired by CapCut from TikTok. We can safely say that it is YouTube’s version of CapCut. It aims to provide a broader tool kit of content creation tools to customize your videos.

It would be helpful for creators who are not proficient in editing. Some valuable and helpful elements will empower the user to create clips that stand out without much effort.

So, go on and try it out and check if it is good or not. By the way, the tool is still in its beta phase, so don’t expect much from it. One more caveat is that the app is only available for Android users at the moment.
