Tecno AI Glasses Pro: A Meta Ray-Ban Competitor With AR Display

Tecno AI glasses Pro launched at MCW 2025

Currently, there seems to be a lot of excitement surrounding AI glasses, especially after the past few months’ experience with the $300 Meta Ray-Bans and the $600 Even Realities G1

Tecno quite literally breathed life into this category of products by launching two new AI glasses at the 2025 Mobile World Congress. It combined augmented reality capabilities with the hardware of Meta Ray-Bans, namely the camera and speaker.

In a brief hands-on, some enticing features of the Tecno AI Glasses Pro were experienced. In every respect, these smart glasses seem to outperform Even Realities G1—at least theoretically. Three major points are discussed concerning the Tecno AI Glasses series.

No-Compromise display

The Tecno AI Glasses Pro has MicroLED displays on either side with a field of view covering 30 degrees and “over 1,500 nits of brightness.” The Even Realities G1 boasts only a 25-degree field of view, but mere numbers cannot tell the whole story.

Tecno AI Glasses Pro features

The Tecno AI Glasses Pro come with a 50-MP built-in camera, which Tecno calls the “highest-resolution camera of any AI glasses,” in contrast to the Even Realities G1. Though true, image quality remains to be seen. Higher megapixels don’t guarantee better pictures, but we are hopeful about this feature.

Tecno also claims, “Over 11 hours of music playback and 8 hours of mixed use after just 30 minutes of charge.” Music is arguably in the mix, thanks to the built-in speaker.

Another Model

There is a more affordable non-Pro model, also called Tecno AI Glasses, whereas the Pro model is equipped with all the bells and whistles. However, it is nothing close to the Pro; it only offers a combination of speaker and camera rig, like the Meta Ray-Bans. It also does not have many of the Pro’s high-end features.

Without an augmented reality display, the Tecno AI Glasses sacrifice navigational, translation, and teleprompter capabilities. But both Tecno models do offer other features, including object recognition and info summarization.
