Although none have successfully answered the riddle yet, every mobile phone maker is fighting hard to find a way to integrate artificial intelligence into everyday life. Samsung is allegedly getting ready for a major AI revolution by partnering with Perplexity for the Galaxy S26.
Utilizing the same generative AI technology driving ChatGPT, Gemini, and other comparable platforms, Perplexity presents itself as an AI-driven search service. Unlike a typical chatbot, it sets itself apart by explicitly citing its sources from all over the internet. Confusion became prominent during the Google search antitrust case when executive Dmitry Shevelenko said that Google had stopped Motorola from using Perplexity on its 2024 products. But Perplexity AI earned a place on the 2025 Razr phones, therefore, the company reached its objective this year.
Samsung is set to be the next firm to use Perplexity’s artificial intelligence powers, according to a Bloomberg report. The two companies are allegedly about to close an agreement that would use this artificial intelligence model as a basic element of the Galaxy S26 Series. Although Motorola uses Perplexity for search capabilities inside its Moto AI system, the cooperation with Samsung is projected to be broader.
Samsung would add Perplexity AI to its web browser and the Bixby assistant under the conditions of the expected agreement. But the report also proposes that Perplexity AI could just turn into the default Galaxy S26 assistant. Most users tend to stick with default settings, as emphasized during Google’s antitrust case, which might be a major benefit for Perplexity.
Bloomberg claims that although the agreement is not yet final, both parties have gathered in South Korea and reached an agreement on the basic structure. The businesses have also purportedly investigated the possibility of using agentic systems operating in conjunction with different AI vendors by including artificial intelligence into operating systems.
