Bard Can Generate Images Now: Finally, Google Rolls Out AI Image Generator to the Public

After the Google Bard demo video leaked, now another piece of news making headlines. Seeing how popular image-generating AI is right now, Google added an AI image generator to Bard. 

According to an official blog update by Google, using the bard image generation is easy enough. To start generating images, you can enter a few simple keywords into the search bar. Once you get the results, click ‘Generate more’ for more options and download your favorite ones.

The generated images will stay in the chat history and bard activity, you can delete them if you like. 

The Imagen 2 image generation model from Google is being used to generate photorealistic images with speed and quality. The new feature from Bard is available all around the world except the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the UK. The image generation model is only available in English and only to those who are above 18. 

Generating images responsibly, Google states ‘Our technical guardrails and investments in the safety of training data seek to limit violent, offensive or sexually explicit content. Additionally, we apply filters designed to avoid generating images of named people. We’ll continue investing in new techniques to improve our models’ safety and privacy protections.’

Apart from image generation, Bard will also be enhanced with new updates. The update page of Google states ‘Bard will be far more capable at things like understanding, summarising, reasoning, brainstorming, writing, and planning.’ 

Apart from this, the chatbot will now be available in 40 languages. And they also expanded the double-check feature to 40 languages, which lets users evaluate responses by automatically searching on the internet.
