New AI Language Model Llama 3 from Meta

Meta is gearing up to roll out its most advanced artificial intelligence large language model called Llama 3 in July this year, according to reports.

The purpose of this new version is to deliver more insightful content to the controversial questions that people have been trying over the past few years.

The researchers at Meta are trying to improve the model in a way that could provide the context to the questions it deems controversial.

This effort will boost Meta’s new LLM’s usefulness in a time when Google had to pause image generation on their Gemini AI model. Last month Google’s AI model Gemini generated racially diverse nazis in a bid to support diversity. Once, there was a public outcry for the wrong depiction of images, the company apologized and decided to pause the model till they fixed it.

The previous model Llama 2 is currently powering the chatbots across its social media platforms and tends to avoid less contentious questions.

So, it is anticipated that Llama 3 will better comprehend more complex questions like, “How to kill a vehicle’s engine” when the context is regarding turning off the engine and not inflicting damage.

Meta also plans to appoint someone internally in the coming weeks for safety training to make Llama 3’s responses more nuanced and believable.
