WhatsApp has made favorites a feature on the app. It just got a whole lot easier for users to keep in touch with their favorite connections. They added a new Favorites tab option that is now available in the app.
Well, the example in the above image shows that users will be able to create a dedicated listing of key contacts. This would allow them to switch over and ensure that they are keeping up with the most important conversations.
Here is how WhatsApp explains it.
“Starting today, you can quickly find the people and groups that matter most at the top of your calls tab and as a filter for your chats. Whether it’s your family group chat or your best friend, your ‘favorites’ will be the same across your chats and calls, so you can speed dial them from your calls tab too.”
So, when you add contacts to your favorites option, you will be able to ensure that you keep up with the key connections.
The favorite options will be the same for Chats and Calls. Now, people have started adding key contacts to their WhatsApp connections.
WhatsApp has seen double-digit growth in the US this year. This is the best year for them in terms of acquiring new users. WhatsApp is already the biggest messaging app in the world, now they are looking to conquer the US. That is why they are adding more and more features to entice users.
Encryption and the ease of messaging have made it an appealing option for users. Now, Meta is adding simplified sorting to ensure even greater functionality.
According to WhatsApp, Favorites is now rolled out to users from today. In the coming weeks, it will be available for all users.
