Soon, TikTok could also have its own text to video generation tool for its users. The parent company of TikTok has launched its own AI creation platform in China named “Jimeng AI”.
This new app enables users to create short videos via AI, based on written prompts.
The above image is a screenshot of the Jimeng AI website. The website allows users to create short video clips of about 5 seconds long. Users can choose their prompts carefully and then create the videos. It can also be used for image creation.
A lot of the AI generators are not up to the mark as of yet when it comes to video creation. However, Sora from OpenAI and Google’s Veo are the best ones right now. Sometimes, they look pretty impressive but sometimes the movements could look weird.
The generated material does look AI-generated, unnatural, and hyperreal. Over time, the AI will get better and the results will also improve as the technology advances. It is only going to get better in the future including the ability to longer video creation.
With video generation technology coming to TikTok, we will see some cool implementations of the same on the platform.
TikTok has already incorporated a range of generative AI features on the platform including chatbots, search tools, music generation options, and profile picture simulators.
Now, text to video conversion tool could be another engaging feature of TikTok. The parent company of TikTok would definitely want to leverage this tool by using it on the world’s biggest short video platform.
It is only going to get interesting from now on as most AI companies are ramping up their efforts in creating something special.
