Now Threads has added a new feature called custom feeds, which is a version of what Twitter lists. Along with this, they have also added a new “Media” tab on profiles.
With this, they are continuing to add new features to refine the Threads experience and be more like Twitter. From the looks of it, the features look heavily inspired by Twitter.

First, let’s look at the “Media” tab update on user profiles. This is the same as it is available on X. This tab will list all your Media in one place for easy access to images and video posts shared by the user.
Here is a look.
In the above example, you can see that Threads’ new Media tab will allow users to filter out all the posts that contain images and videos.
This is a good update as it can help users find particular updates that contain media. As we’ve told you X already has this feature. It looks like Threads is bringing the functionality of the platform in line with the competition.
Apart from this, they’ve also added a new feed option.

You will be able to see that users can now create their own custom feeds “with multiple keywords or profiles tailored to your interests.”
So, just like X, users will be able to create separate listings from the selected users. In this, users will be able to create a separate stream that is accessible from the main app UI.
This will make it easy for users to stay on top of certain discussions and interests. The custom feed can be made up of either profiles or keyword searches.
