We’ve stated this for a while now that Threads has been adding some small features that are going to make the user’s life a little bit easier.
Threads has come up with another simple but mindful update for the people who are using the platform on desktop. Now, Threads has added an option for users to rearrange the columns for your desktop Threads display.
Have a look.
Some users may wonder what this is all about. Let me tell you that Threads launched a new column display back in May which is somewhat similar to TweetDeck or Hootsuite format. This enables users to monitor separate streams of content based on the topics, keywords, and other interests. But the “Following” and “For You” feeds will be there, the new feeds will act as additional feeds.
This format was very popular back in the day, and most of the Twitter users were using it. So, Threads thought it might be a good idea to provide a similar experience on their platform.
With this format, users can keep track of various elements within the app and stay up to date. The company has also added analytics to its desktop display to facilitate more functionality.
This new ability to rearrange the columns will become a functional element of the platform rather than a gimmick. Because it would be much easier for users to shift around various topics they want to keep track of.
To be honest, it’s not an update that is going to change the platform, but it’s a functional update. It was one of the most requested updates by the community ever since they introduced the column view.
The update is now being rolled out to the users from today.
