One UI 7 beta is delayed and Samsung has not provided any explanation about it. However, Samsung might announce it at its annual developer conference, SDC 2024 which will happen in San Jose.
Insiders are hoping that the delayed One UI 7 beta will make an entry at the event. Whatever it may be, the reliable tipster Ice Universe has come through with a solution update we’ve been waiting to hear.
According to this leak, Samsung is going to add several optimizations and a convenient AI search feature to its stock gallery app with the One UI 7 update. The tipster didn’t share many details about the new feature but we speculate that Samsung might copy Google here for its Ask-Photos-like functionality.
Ask-Photos is a feature in Google Photos that uses Gemini to search the specific photos app for specific images. You can try asking for “a photo of my dog playing with me.”
Well, this would be a massive improvement over the feature that is already available in the Samsung Gallery app. Users feel that the Gallery app from Samsung is somewhat lacking and not in competition with the likes of Google Photos.
However, Samsung has recently made efforts to make it look better and try to enhance the experience as well. They did it with the One UI 6.1 update. That update brought a range of Google-like AI editing tools.
This new AI search feature certainly makes the Gallery app more desirable than ever before. In the future, it could become a genuine competitor to Google Photos.
