OnePlus has made a striking return with its newest range of budget-friendly flagship smartphones. At CES on Tuesday, the company unveiled the global launch of the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. These devices, which have been available in China since October are incorporated with enhanced processors, an impressive 6,000mAh battery, and AI features.
OnePlus continues to deliver Android smartphones that are packed with high-end specifications at prices that challenge those of major layers like Samsung and Google. The latest models stand strong against Samsung’s S24 and Google’s Pixel Pro 9 series, through their performance against Samsung’s upcoming S25 lineup, all set to debut at the Unpacked event on January 22, remains to be seen.
The OnePlus 13 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Mobile Platform. Configurations with up to 16GB of RAM are also offered to the users. Its dual 3,000mAh battery cells work together to offer a strong 6,000mAh battery life, lasting over 24 hours in our tests.
The display is similar to last year’s design, featuring a 6.82-inch ProXDR LTPO 4.1 screen with a resolution of 3,168 by 1,440 pixels and a dynamic refresh rate that ranges from 1 to 120Hz. In addition to this, the phone is now fully waterproof with the ability to endure jets of hot water all because of its new IP68 and IP69 ratings.
The OnePlus 13 is equipped with Hasselblad cameras and includes a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.
Like a lot of modern smartphones, the OnePlus 13 features AI editing tools, also the Magic Eraser allows users to eliminate unwanted people or objects from their shots. AI Unblur sharpens blurry images, AI Detail Boost improves the quality of photos with 4K clarity whereas the AI Reflection Eraser removes reflections from glass surfaces.
