Despite facing challenges in Europe, Meta is moving forward with its plan for AI development.

Meta has announced that its AI chatbot is now available in more regions with language support. They also added some new creative functions in Meta AI.

With the latest addition, Meta AI is now available in 22 languages, with the newest today in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Cameroon. Users can also interact with Meta AI on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger in new languages including French, German, Hindi, Hindi-Romanized Script, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Meta says, more languages to be added soon to an already long list.

The AI assistant from Meta has seen little to moderate usage till now. But Mark Zuckerberg claims that their AI assistant is on track to become the most used AI chatbot in the world.

This should not come as a surprise as most of the world uses Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Meta AI is embedded in all three apps’ UI elements to encourage them to use it. It’s right on the face whenever you open any of these apps.

The company is also adding more functionality to its chatbot. Now, users will be able to generate AI images right from the chat stream.

“Have you ever dreamed of being a superhero, a rockstar or a professional athlete? Now, you can see yourself in a whole new light with “Imagine me” prompts in Meta AI – a feature we’re starting to roll out in beta in the US to start. Imagine yourself creates images based on a photo of you and a prompt like ‘Imagine me surfing’ or ‘Imagine me on a beach vacation’ using our new state-of-the-art personalization model.”

This way, Meta will force more people to try their product. However, the novelty will wear off easily.
